NOBLESVILLE — A man whose gun went off inside the Fishers IKEA store last year has been found not guilty by a Hamilton County jury.
62-year-old Francis Wright of Camby was charged with Criminal Recklessness Committed with a Deadly Weapon.
According to Fishers Police, Wright went into the store last June and sat on a sofa.
When he crossed his legs, the handgun in his pocked fell out on the sofa.
Police say Wright did not notice what happened and the gun was found by a 6-year-old who fired it into the sofa.
There were no injuries.
IKEA has a no gun policy which is posted on a sign at its stores.
Wright did have a permit to carry the gun, police say.
