NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- Country music star Kenny Chesney paused his concert in Noblesville, Indiana Thursday night to remember a girl recovering from a school shooting that took place a week ago.
Chesney said the girl, Ella Whistler, 13, had tickets to Thursday night's concert at Ruoff Music Center and was supposed to attend.
Chesney invited the whole crowd, on the count of three, to yell out, "We love you, Ella!"
And they didn't disappoint.

Before getting back to the music for the night, Chesney blew Ella a kiss and said "Everything is going to be alright, Ella. We love you!"
Whistler was shot last Friday along with her science teacher, Jason Seaman. Seaman was released from the hospital Saturday after being treated for three gunshot wounds.
On Wednesday, Whistler's condition was upgraded to stable, but she remains at Riley Hospital.
