Deputies from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and emergency responders were called around 10:40 p.m. to the intersection near Strawtown and Joyce avenues, just north of Noblesville, on the report of a serious crash.

The driver and a passenger of the vehicle, a 2018 gray Nissan Altima, were both ejected when they crashed into a guardrail.

The driver, Nicholal Griffin, 22, of Cicero, died at the scene. The passenger, Katherine Carlos Quispe, 23, of Chicago, was transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis by medics due to their injuries, according to a press release.

It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.

The identities of those involved have not been released.
