FISHERS, Ind. — Neighbors in one Fishers subdivision are blowing the whistle on reckless drivers speeding through their neighborhood and ignoring school bus stop signs, and police are stepping up to help.
"The city is taking it very seriously," said Nick Metheny. "We know there's a concern."
A recent post on Next Door called the speeding problem in Canal Place off Olio Road "chronic" and urged police to step up patrols to step up their patrols.

Fishers police have answered the call and the neighborhood homeowners association president says they are also increasing their budget funding for more traffic patrols, in an effort to make families safer.
"The chief of police came to our HOA and has pledged that he's going to help our neighborhood out," said Chris Ryan.

In the meantime, Fishers police are also asking residents to download the Fishers Crime-Watch app. The app lets you report a problem, where it's happening and you can even upload pictures.
Your report will go directly to officers on patrol and you'll get an email when an officer has looked into the complaint.
