WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald Trump thanked Noblesville West Middle School teacher Jason Seaman for his "heroic act" in stopping a shooter at the school on Friday.

Seaman is being called a hero after he stopped the middle school student shooter by tackling him to the ground. He was shot three times during the incident.
Another student, Ella Whistler, 13, was also shot and remains in critical condition at Riley Hospital for Children. Her parents released a statement Friday night thanking the community for their support.
The student shooter is not being named but has been arrested, according to police.
