WESTFIELD, Ind. -- The Westfield City Council has voted to move forward with a multi-million dollar project to make major improvements to State Road 32.
The $15 million project is a 50-50 cost split between the city and the state.
The project will address congestion and capacity concerns along the SR 32 corridor from Shamrock Boulevard to East Street.
The city is planning to build a roundabout at SR 32 and East Street and widen State Road 32 in some areas - among other things.
The city hopes to have all of the construction projects finished by 2024.
