HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. -- One person was killed in a crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck early Thursday morning in Hancock County.
Greenfield police and the Hancock County Sheriff's Department responded to the area near US 40 and Jaycie Phelps Road around 6:35 a.m.
Officers say a northbound truck was stopped at a stop sign at US 40 and Jaycie Phelps Road.
The driver of the truck told police he looked both ways before entering the intersection; that's when the truck was hit by a motorcycle traveling eastbound on US 40.
Police say it's believed both drivers weren't able to see well due to the foggy conditions.
The 61-year-old driver of the motorcycle died at the scene.
No names have been released.
