GREENE COUNTY — Fire officials in Greene County are investigating a HazMat incident Thursday evening at Eastern Greene Middle School in Bloomfield.
Center-Jackson Fire Territory, Northern Monroe Fire Territory Hazardous Materials Team, Indiana State Fire Marshall and other emergency personnel are on-scene of the incident, according to Greene County officials.
An unknown number of people have been taken to the hospital for observation, but no serious injuries have been reported, officials said.
The school will be closed on Friday, according to a Facebook post from the fire territory.
Officials say there is not a gas leak at the school, but additional details surrounding the incident have not been released.
