INDIANAPOLIS — The calls for help among domestic violence victims continue to haunt Central Indiana.
Coburn Place held its 12th Annual Blue and Gold Breakfast at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Friday. The annual program helps raise money to support programs and services for families in need.
The event, which had former Pacer, Eddie Gill, as its featured speaker, is hoping to raise $25,000 by the end of the day Friday.
"We think year-over-year we will be able to wiggle down those weightless... you know, that people will be able to get to housing quicker," Julia Kathary, Coburn Place Executive Director, said. "And what we find is that the more we do, the more that people need and the more people that need those services, you know, there's got to be a tipping point... because just hope that one day we'll get ahead of the issue if we all work together.
RTV6 was, once again, a proud participant of the event that brought together around 500 people.
