Brownsburg murder suspect gets long prison sentence

Posted

DANVILLE, Ind. -- A 20-year-old Indianapolis man is going to prison for a murder that shocked a quiet Brownsburg neighborhood.

A Hendricks Superior Court judge sentenced Arion Cruthird to 64 years for the January murder of 74-year-old Alice Wright.

Investigators say Cruthird and his girlfriend, 19-year-old Kiesha Summerhill, broke into the Brownsburg house where Wright and her husband lived.

Alice Wright was shot to death and her husband survived.

Police say the suspects, who lived in Indianapolis, also robbed the house.

Summerhill had been an in-home care nurse for Mr. Wright, and she also faced murder charges.

As part of a plea deal, murder charges were dropped and Summerhill will be sentenced in December for burglary.
