Danville Fire Department planting seeds of hope for Sycamore Services

DANVILLE, Ind. -- The Danville Fire Department went to work with their hoses Wednesday, but instead watering seeds for an annual garden for Sycamore Services. 

Chief Mark Morgan provided some vegetable plants for the nonprofit agency in Danville. With a team of eight Danville firefighters, the department spent Wednesday morning planting. The firefighters removed weeds from the garden area and then assisted with planting the plants.

“We had a great time,” Division Chief Alan Pike said. 

Sycamore Services, Inc. aids individuals with disabilities and other life challenges in gaining independence through individualized training and therapies.
