PITTSBORO, Ind. -- A small police department in Hendricks County is getting a big boost from a local company.
Steel Dynamics is helping the Pittsboro Police Department hire an additional full-time police officer by donating the funding for four years’ worth of an officer’s salary.
The company will donate $192,000 beginning in January. The new officer will bring the Pittsboro Police Department up to eight full-time officers.
