HENDRICKS COUNTY — Danville Community Schools are warning parents to be on alert after they say a strange man approached a middle school girl who was waiting at the bus stop Thursday morning.

The young girl told school officials that the man was driving a light green, small model SUV. He was described as having white hair, a white beard and wearing a dark green jacket.

School officials say the man offered to give the girl a ride to school several times, even though she kept telling him no.

Danville Police say they are investigating the incident and ask that anyone with information contact them at 317-745-3001.
