AVON — Police in Avon are investigating a possible road rage incident after a Hendricks County woman shared a video of a man confronting her and trying to get in her vehicle.
The woman, Leann Vittetow, posted three videos on Facebook of the incident on Saturday with the caption, “These crazy people have been following me home from downtown.”
In one video, a man can be seen getting out of a vehicle and walking to her passenger-side door. He looks to her, tries to open the door, then gestures at her to get out of the vehicle before returning to his vehicle.
In another video, the man is in the passenger seat of a vehicle next to her. He mocks her for recording him, then gets out of his vehicle and approaches her window. In a third video, he is up against her window, speaking to her.
The Avon Police Department posted on Facebook that they have received numerous calls and concerns about the incident.
The man seen in the videos has been identified by police, but his identity has not been released. Police are working with the Hendricks County Prosecutor’s Office for possible criminal charges.
“Fortunately, the victim was able to create videos on her smartphone and those videos have been turned over to our investigators,” the department said in the post.
Anybody who saw the incident Saturday evening should contact the Avon Police Department at 317-272-4485.
