CICERO — A Hamilton County veteran has a new way to get in and out of his home, thanks to dozens of volunteers.
David Feltner uses a wheelchair after having a leg amputated due to circulation issues. Sixty Home Depot employees volunteered their time Tuesday to build him a custom-made ramp for his home in Cicero.
Feltner said he's grateful to live in such a caring community.
"I just don't have the words. i don't have the words. And I have a big mouth! It's overwhelming, it really is," Feltner said.
The volunteers also did some painting, floor repair and fence upgrades.
