INDIANAPOLIS -- After months of back and forth between Hustler Hollywood and the city of Indianapolis, the adult store has pulled their plans to open a store in the Castleton area, but their lawsuit against the city still stands.

Hustler had planned to open a new store on East 82nd Street near the Castleton Chuck-E-Cheese’s, but the plans were voted down by the city-county council after they were classified as an adult entertainment service.

The city denied the company’s request to rezone their business as a general retail store.

Hustler filed a suit against the city last month, claiming the city incorrectly classified them as an “adult business.”

The company is seeking damages because they claim they had already signed a lease and started renovations before the board voted against them.
