INDIANAPOLIS — A man was killed in a house fire on the east side of Indianapolis Tuesday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, crews responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a fire with possible entrapment at 4036 Alsace Place just before 9 a.m.
When firefighters arrived they found heavy fire showing in the single-story home.
A total of 11 fire units were dispatched.
At around 9:10 a.m., a 62-year-old man was located and pronounced deceased.
IFD said there were no working smoke alarms inside the home. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
