INDIANAPOLIS — Detectives from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department located a missing mother and infant daughter on the city's northwest side on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Deputy Chief Chris Bailey, the 3-month-old was pronounced dead at the scene on the 2600 block of Stanford Court.

Officers were called to the scene a little before 3 p.m., where they found the mother and infant inside a vehicle. Indianapolis EMS transported the mother to a nearby hospital on unconfirmed cold related issues.

The mother is said to have been battling some medical issues, according to Chief Bailey.
