INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Supreme Court suspended former secretary of state Charlie White's license to practice law for at least two years over his 2012 convictions on perjury, theft and voter fraud charges.

In a unanimous ruling, with Justice Mark Massa not participating, the court found White was guilty of attorney misconduct when he allegedly lied about where he lived during the 2010 election for secretary of state.

The court noted that while the sentence was on the lower end of the possible range, White has already served four years on interim suspension while he has appealed his case.

Three of White's six convictions were overturned by the Court of Appeals of Indiana in 2014.

White has now exhausted all of his state-level appeals. He could still ask a federal court to consider the case.

He can appeal for reinstatement of his license in summer 2018.
