INDIANAPOLIS — For the eighth consecutive year, the Indianapolis International Airport was named the Best Airport in North America by the Airports Council International-North America.
According to a news release, the award is based on customer feedback from airports serving between 5-to-15 million passengers. The Indianapolis airport flew a record 9.5 million passengers in 2019.
“People ask me often how we do it year after year, and my answer is simple: we take care of our people and they take care of our customers. It’s all about the customer experience — which we strive to deliver to an art form,” said Mario Rodriguez, executive director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority. “Every decision we make has the traveler top of mind, and our staff is continuously looking for ways to improve even our best efforts.”
The Indianapolis airport has been recognized in recent years by J.D. Power, Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure.
