INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis family of four is crediting their smoke detectors with waking them up so they could escape their burning home Monday morning.
The fire started just before 6 a.m., in the 4000 block of Barnor Drive.
Everybody in the house got out OK.
Firefighters say the fire started accidentally as a result of an improperly placed cigarette.
