INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Public Library's website has a new look, one that should make is easier to search for books and materials and take advantage of other services.
The library made the changes based on feedback from more than 2,000 people.
Besides simplified search procedures, the site provided lists of new and recently reviewed materials, and connects users with librarians for reference help.
The new "Download and Stream" sections allows access with a library card to the system's large collection of eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, movies and music.
There's an events calendar with information about upcoming author appearances, book discussions, story times and cultural programs.
A search box on the home page offers access to the entire website when you're having trouble finding what you're looking for.
The redesign is the first in 13-years and was done with what the library says is "significantly improved mobile responsiveness with a construction created as mobile-first."
