INDIANAPOLIS -- Approximately 230 jobs will be eliminated at Angie's List in connection with the anticipated merger with HomeAdvisor.

No action will be taken until the deal has closed, a spokesperson for Angie's List told RTV6 on Thursday.

The company said the job layoffs will be largely in corporate departments where there are duplicative roles across HomeAdvisor and Angie's List.

"We appreciate the many contributions our valued employees have made to Angie's List," said a company spokesperson. "And will make every effort - including offering career placement services - to help ensure a smooth transition."

All layoffs will come from Angie's List's Indianapolis headquarters.

Angie's List announced back in May that they would be merging with HomeAdvisor to become ANGI Homeservices Inc. Homeservices Inc.

The headquarters for the merged company will be based out of HomeAdvisor's Golden, Colorado location.
