INDIANAPOLIS — The college basketball extravaganza coming to Downtown Indianapolis is getting bigger.

The Big Ten will move next month's men's basketball tournament from Chicago to Indianapolis, a source familiar with the decision told WRTV Thursday.

Games will be played March 10-14 at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Big Ten women's basketball tournament was already scheduled to take place March 9-13 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The NCAA previously moved its entire men's basketball tournament to Indiana.

NCAA tournament games will be played in Indianapolis on two courts inside Lucas Oil Stadium, as well as at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Hinkle Fieldhouse and Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Mackey Arena in West Lafayette and Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington will host early round games.

The 2020 Big Ten men's basketball tournament ended early at Bankers Life Fieldhouse when it was canceled March 12 at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
