INDIANAPOLIS -- Butler University was tied for No. 1 in a recent listing of top Midwest universities.
Butler tied with Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. for the No. 1 listing at USNews.com.
Butler had been ranked No. 2 for eight years, according to the university.
“Butler is an innovative leader in education,” Butler President James Danko said in a release. “This prestigious ranking affirms that Butler is creating learning experiences for students that support their success and well-being—both during their undergraduate experience and throughout their lives.”
The study evaluated the following factors:
- Graduation and retention (22 percent)
- Faculty resources (20 percent)
- Expert opinion (20 percent)
- Financial resources (10 percent)
- Student excellence (10 percent)
- Graduation rate performance (8 percent)
- Social mobility (5 percent)
- Alumni giving (5 percent)
