INDIANAPOLIS -- BYOB -- Bring Your Own Bouquet -- returned to Urban Contessa after a strong response from locals in the near-east side neighborhoods.
The mom and daughter-ran flower shop opened in May in the Cottage Home neighborhood within Society of Salvage on the east side of Downtown Indy. The duo started as a pop-up shop in the downtown area, and now has a small workspace creating regular market bouquets to wedding spreads.
“We always had a love for flowers and what they represent,” Olivia White, co-owner of Urban Contessa, said. “Flowers bring joy to people’s lives.”
Olivia, and her mother, Asia, are involved in the Indianapolis community, giving back to different organizations with their bouquets. They also repurpose vessels.
“Urban Contessa strives to be a more affordable approach,” Oliva said. “We are your neighborhood florist.”
After a first-trial run of “BYOB” during a local market, Build Your Own Bouquet happened again on Saturday. Urban Contessa has a variety of other workshops to attend including a “Girls Night” and a kids workshop.
