Connected to Circle Centre Mall, on the corner of Georgia and Meridian Street, sits a 8,832 square foot space that encompasses the intimate venue, which appears to be bringing in stadium-sized talent.
According to Helium's website, comics like Drew Lynch, Damon Wayans, D.L. Hughley, Lavell Crawford, Kevin Nealon and more will be making a stop at the venue in coming weeks or months.
“The new Helium will offer the city a modern, state-of-the-art facility, different than many of the existing downtown spaces available to large groups or for performance,” Brad Grossman, Helium partner, said. “Guests will now have the chance to see local and national acts performing on any given weekend.”
Every Wednesday night, starting March 20, the comedy club will host an open mic night for local comics 20-year-old and older.
There are four other Helium Comedy Club locations in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Portland, Oregon; Buffalo, New York and St. Louis, Missouri.
