INDIANAPOLIS -- A fire at a luxury condo complex near downtown Indianapolis was ruled accidental, an Indianapolis Fire Department spokesperson said Wednesday morning.
The roof of the building at 765 Massachusetts Ave caught fire the morning of Dec. 8. Businesses on the ground floor include FortyFive Degrees, Yogulatte and Toolbox. Nobody was hurt in the fire.
The origin was determined to be in the area of a gas grill.
The fire was contained to a wooden deck on the roof of the building. It caused about $500,000 in damage, mainly from water used to put out the fire.
About 20 people were evacuated from the fire.
