INDIANAPOLIS -- A 69-year-old man rescued from the White River Sunday morning died at the hospital.
The Indianapolis Fire Department and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the area of North White River Parkway West Drive and West New York Street around 10:10 a.m.
A witness called 911 after he heard a large splash and then saw a man in the water.
The victim was transported by Indianapolis EMS to Eskenazi Hospital, where he later died.
IMPD says they're conducting a death investigation and do not suspect foul play.
The identity of the person has not been released at this time.
