INDIANAPOLIS -- About an hour after an alert was raised, the all-clear was given near the downtown Indianapolis post office after a suspicious device ended up being just trash.
According to a spokesperson with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, a security officer with the post office found the device near the side of the building.
Part of the post office and part of the Rolls Royce building were evacuated.
There was no known threat to the community. Police were just taking a precautionary measure.
At about 12:30 p.m. police gave the all-clear, saying the device was just trash.
