Arrest made in deadly hit-and-run on Indy's east side

INDIANAPOLIS -- A 50-year-old man turned himself in after seeing a report detailing a deadly hit-and-run on Indianapolis' east side. 

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called around 7:30 a.m. Sunday to the area of the East 38th Street and Mitthoeffer Road after someone discovered the body of a man lying in a ditch. 

That man was identified as Michael L. Jackson, 23, by the Marion County Coroner's Office. Police believe he was hit around 2 a.m. that morning. 

Karl Satter was arrested Monday evening after he turned himself into police in connection with the crime.
