Police recover guns, drugs and cash during search warrant

INDIANAPOLIS — Police seized several weapons, drugs, and cash after serving a search warrant at a home on the city's east side Thursday.

Marion County Community Corrections officers were conducting a home visit in the 8500 block of Georgiana Lane around 10 a.m. when they noticed drugs inside the residence. A search warrant was issued, and police recovered the following items: 

  • 21 Firearms, including rifles, pistols and modified rifles
  • A Firearm Silencer, (appears homemade)
  • Cash - $19,147.00
  • Ammunition, dozens of various rounds
  • Suspected Heroin (several grams)
  • Promethazine Liquid Sch. V., several liquid ounces (used to make what is known on the street as “Lean”)
  • Suspected Marijuana (several grams)

Police noted that six children were present at the home during the time of the search, all of whom were 14-years-old or younger. 

Stephan Woodley and Micha Scanlan were arrested and preliminarily charged with child neglect, serious violent felon in possession of a firearm, dealing and possession of various controlled substances, maintaining a common nuisance and other community corrections violations. 

In a press release, IMPD said seizures like these help to make citizens and officers safer.
