Two killed, two injured, in early morning crash on Indianapolis' east side

INDIANAPOLIS — Two people were killed and two others were injured in a crash early Saturday morning on the east side of Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to investigate the crash around 12:45 a.m. near Hogan Drive and East 21st Street, according to an IMPD incident report. The intersection is just west of North German Church Road.

Kinara Acoff, 21, and William Maxwell, 39, were killed in the crash, according to the Marion County Coroner's Office.

One person was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and another was transported in serious condition, IMPD Officer Samone Burris said in an email.

Two vehicles were damaged in the crash, according to the incident report.

Additional information has not yet been released by IMPD.
