INDIANAPOLIS—One of the big players in the downtown Indianapolis eating scene is closing its doors.
The Hard Rock Cafe on South Meridian Street announced Friday it will shut down on March 18, almost 20-years after opening.
It is the only Hard Rock in Indiana.
"The brand remains committed to the city and is open to having another location within the market, if the right space can be identified," according to a statement from the company.
The Hard Rock Cafe on Meridian Street opened to much fanfare in 1999, and features rock and roll memorabilia on its walls.
Hard Rock has locations in more than 70 countries.
