INDIANAPOLIS — A 29-year-old Indianapolis man was arrested and is facing charges in a December murder.
David Smith, 22, was shot to death on Dec. 9 at 3210 South Oxford St. on the city's south side.
Allen Chadwick Fender is being held in jail and has been charged with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Smith's murder came during a series of killings in December and during a year when Indianapolis had a record 159 criminal homicides.
Police found Smith suffering from a gunshot wound when they arrived at the South Oxford Street crime scene.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
