Motorcyclist killed in crash near Greenwood

INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating near Greenwood after a motorcyclist was struck and killed by a van Saturday morning.

Emergency responders were dispatched around 6:30 a.m. to the intersection of County Line Road and US 31 on a report of a traffic crash involving a van and motorcycle.

When medics arrived, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers say the driver of the van was uninjured and is cooperating with the investigation.

IMPD is investigating to see if alcohol was a factor in the crash.

At this time, the identities of those involved in the crash have not been released.
