INDIANAPOLIS — Citizens Energy Group says they are working to verify the source of the smell of gas throughout Indianapolis.
As of now, crews believe it is an industrial release on the westside of Indianapolis, Dan Considine, corporate communications coordinator for Citizens Energy Group said.
The industrial release is believed to be non-toxic, Considine said.
Since around 9:30 a.m., the Indianapolis Fire Department said they have received about 15 calls to investigate the smell of gas.
Anyone who smells gas is asked to report it to Citizens Energy Group at 317-924-3311.
