INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Airport Authority Fire Department recently added a new vehicle to their fleet.
Crash Truck 997 carries 3,000 gallons of water, 420 gallons of foam and 500 pounds of a dry extinguishing chemical and can reach speeds of at least 50 mph in 35 seconds.
The new truck joins three other front-line Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting vehicles in the department's fleet.
