INDIANAPOLIS -- Two people were killed in a motorcycle crash Wednesday on Indianapolis' northeast side.
The crash happened at the intersection of 46th Street and German Church Road at about 12:30 a.m.
Police on the scene say two people were riding a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle in the area as police tried to pull them over. The bike locked up at the intersection. They hit a street sign and crashed through a roundabout.
The woman riding the motorcycle died at the scene. The man was listed in critical condition, but he died at a hospital from his injuries. They have been identified as Jamie Short, 27, and Jeremy Conger, 24, respectively.
Neither person was wearing a helmet.
The intersection was also the scene of a fatal motorcycle crash earlier this year.
