1 suspect killed, 1 arrested after business burglary on Indianapolis' northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS — One person was killed and another is in police custody after a burglary to a business Tuesday morning on Indianapolis' northeast side.

The burglary happened at about 5 a.m., at the uBreakiFix phone repair shop near the intersection of Dean Road and 82nd Street.

When police arrived at the scene, two suspects were inside the store. They ran out the back of the store, toward a nearby body of water.

One person came out of the water and surrendered. The other suspect was in the water for 30 minutes before they were found. The second suspect was taken to St. Vincent Hospital, where they later died.

No further information is available.
