INDIANAPOLIS -- A man riding a go-kart was killed after crashing with an SUV on Indianapolis' east side Wednesday afternoon.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the scene near the intersection of Rural Street and 18th Street around 1:30 p.m.
Police say a man riding the go-kart was taken to Methodist Hospital in critical condition. He later died from his injuries. His identity has not been released.
The person driving the SUV was not injured. Alcohol is not suspected in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
