INDIANAPOLIS -- A woman suffering from Alzheimer's disease and cancer was found safe Wednesday afternoon.
Melva Grunden, 77, was last seen at 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 7700 block of Briarstone Lane, on Indianapolis' south side. Her family believes she walked away from her home in that area.
She was found inside a police officer's house. When the officer found her, she was surrounded by pots and pans, as if she lived in the house.
A spokesperson with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said she has both Alzheimer's and stage four cancer.
