INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer was injured in a crash Wednesday evening on Indianapolis' south side.
Just before 5 p.m. in the 5700 block of South Harding Street, the driver of another car lost control and swiped the front of the police car head-on, an IMPD officer at the scene said.
The officer was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital for further evaluation and is stable, IMPD Officer William Young said in an email.
Slick road conditions may have been a factor in the crash.
