Person critically injured in early Christmas morning shooting

INDIANAPOLIS — A person was critically injured after being shot early Christmas morning at an apartment complex on the southside of Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers and emergency responders were called around 2 a.m. to the 5100 block of Thompson Village Place on the report of a person shot.

The victim was transported to a hospital in Indianapolis by medics in critical condition.

At this time, police have not released the identity of the victim or a suspect.
