INDIANAPOLIS -- The person who made threats against Franklin Central High School Monday has been identified and arrested, Franklin Township school police said.

In a message posted on Twitter, Chief of School Police Kenneth Short said the non-credible threat rose to the level of criminal activity by invoking fear among the members of the community.

The person arrested was not identified, but Short said they "will be facing consequences as outlined by the FCHS Code of Conduct."

"While the vagueness of released statement can be frustrating, it is important that we protect the integrity of the investigation for both us and our partners in the schools," Short said.

There was increased security at Franklin Central High School Tuesday.
