INDIANAPOLIS -- When using Google Maps in 3D, you no longer find yourself at a virtual “dead end” when you come to many of the popular trails around Indianapolis.
Visit Indy partnered with Google Maps to photograph popular trails, greenways, and parks. Google provided equipment, and we found a person willing local to walk nine major trail routes in the Circle City," said Christine Zetzl, Digital Marketing Manager with Visit Indy,
Those trails include: The Indianapolis Cultural Trail, White River State Park, Indianapolis Canal Walk, Monon Rail Trail, Central Canal Towpath, Fall Creek Trail, Harrison Trace Trail, White River Whaphani Trail and Pleasant Run Greenway.
So, if you want to explore the trails before heading out this fall, you can! Just head over to Google Maps. Then, just drag the orange person icon (located on the lower right) to where you want to go!
