The Children's Museum to host virtual event for grandparents weekend featuring Kevin Gregory and family

INDIANAPOLIS — A new virtual event from The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, featuring WRTV Stormteam's Kevin Gregory and family, will help bring families together during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The museum will celebrate National Grandparents Weekend with its inaugural GRAND Adventure, presented by CollegeChoice529, event at 10 a.m. on Sept. 12, according to a press release from the museum.

Below is a list of some of the activities at the event, according to the release:

  • Three generations of the iconic Indianapolis “Gregory” weather family (Bob, Kevin and kids) talk forecasting and family
  • Dinosphere Escape Room Challenge! Encounter a series of challenges to solve a GIGANTIC mystery in Dinosphere!
  • Extraordinary Paleontologists Drs. Phil Manning and Victoria Egerton share gigantic dinosaur poop facts and much more-sure to keep the grandkids giggling
  • Take a collections tour of the Schaefer Planetarium and Space Object TheaterGo behind-the-scenes with our paleo team in the R.B. Annis Mission Jurassic Prep Lab in Dinosphere
  • Conduct a salt & ice S.T.E.A.M. experiment
  • Learn to make delicious ice cream cone cupcakes
  • Create your own paleo art

A donation of at least $5 to Rex Response Fund will get you access to the event.
