INDIANAPOLIS – Two women found dead in a home on Indianapolis' southeast side Friday night are suspected victims of a double murder-suicide, according to police.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police were called to the 4500 block of Stone Mill Drive around 5:30 p.m.
Officers said they found two female victims with trauma to their bodies but they are unsure what caused the injuries. Both women are believed to be victims.
The Marion County Coroner identified the women as Meredith Opel, 20, and Mallory Jackson, 27.
Police are investigating a connection between a possible suicide outside of Indiana. His identity has not been released.
"What we can say with certainty is, we aren't looking for anybody. There isn't a lone person out here terrorizing the community," said IMPD Sgt. Chris Wilburn we do believe that this was isolated."
The deaths remain under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Departments.
