INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer was involved in a serious crash Friday morning on the city's west side.

The crash happened at about 7:30 a.m., near the intersection of Philwood Drive and 25th Street.

The officer was on a police motorcycle at the time. They were taken to Methodist Hospital in an unknown condition, IMPD officials said.
