INDIANAPOLIS -- Diving crews found the body of a fisherman who fell into Eagle Creek Friday morning.
Witnesses who were also fishing said Hniang Cung, 36, fell into the swollen creek around 7:30 p.m. Thursday and was swept away.
Cung was found close to where he fell in at about 10:10 a.m., authorities say. He was not wearing a floatation device.
"Right now, we feel really upset because he is part of our family," Cung's son-in-law, Eric Lian, said. "He's very important in our family. He's nice, he's so sweet and he loves his family also."
The search for Cung was suspended around 10:15 p.m. Thursday due to poor visibility and the weather and resumed Friday morning.
The area the group was fishing in is private property, authorities say. No criminal charges are expected to be filed.
